Randy D. Sines

is the principal developer, owner and General Manager of Desemboque Developments LLC, overseeing the project and interfacing with the Mexican government. Mr. Sines is the holder of more than 100 utility patents covering a range of industries and products including medical, sports and gaming equipment. He has been involved in several start-up organizations based on these patents and engineering innovations and has served in executive capacities as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer including SNS Motor Imports, Inc., DigiDeal Corporation, eCardless Bancorp Ltd, and MITT USA Corporation. During the last 35 years, he has taken companies from the start-up phase through public offering and has extensive knowledge of highly diverse corporate activities ranging from product design and development, sales and marketing to day-to-day company management. His strengths lie in his ability to readily identify alternative conceptual problems and identification of potential emerging markets. For over 30 years Mr. Sines has been paid tribute in the Marquis Who’s Who in America.

Don Miller

serves as Director of Operations and Finance for Desemboque Developments. He is responsible for finance and accounting and shares operations management with Tony Nunes. Mr. Miller has over twenty-five years’ experience in the areas of management, finance and accounting, project management, strategic and budgetary planning, and construction. Don practiced as a certified public accountant in the states of California and Washington, before joining Johnson Matthey PLC in 1989, a multi-billion dollar corporation headquartered in London, England. During his eleven year tenure with JM he served in several executive finance functions including Vice- President Finance, Electronic Materials Division, before being promoted to President, Wafer Fabrication Products, with overall responsibility for eleven plants and sales offices worldwide generating $750 million in annual sales. Mr. Miller was instrumental in the capital planning and construction of production facilities in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He has also held key positions in start-up companies. Before joining Desemboque Developments, Don owned and operated a construction company in Spokane, Washington.

Jim L. Awtrey

serves as Director of Strategic Planning. He was Chief Executive Officer of the PGA of America during its most dynamic period of growth (1988-2005). During the period of his tenure with the PGA its revenues grew from $12.5M to $200M, and its sponsorship dollars grew by 380%. Jim was directly responsible for the development and acquisition of Valhalla Golf Club, Louisville, KY, PGA Golf Club (2 Fazio and 1 Pete Dye course), PGA Country Club, PGA Learning Center, PGA Education Center, PGA Historical Center. Subsequently, he joined the Landmark Land Company as Senior Vice President, Business Development where he was involved in analysis and selection of the best and most appropriate deals, both domestic and international for Landmark. He became involved with Parayso in 2008, and as he says “fell in love with the property, the people of Mexico and the commitment to make something very special in Parayso.” In 2011 he was inducted into the PGA Hall of Fame.

BISSA Construction

is a large engineering and construction firm headquartered in the Sonoran capital of Hermosillo providing engineering and construction services throughout the state of Sonora for over 25 years. The Company specializes in infrastructure and urbanization as well as industrial and commercial construction. BISSA has been instrumental in the design of the Parayso master engineering plan, environmental studies and the interface with government regulators regarding permitting and will be involved in infrastructure construction.

Ernesto Munro

is the founding partner of Munro Legal and a minority shareholder in Desemboque Developments, LLC. serving as Counsel of Record. He graduated from Universidad del Noroeste with a Bachelor’s degree in law, studied Constitutional Law, International Relations and Legal Writing at Harvard University and received his LLM in Corporate Law from Universidad Panamerica. He specializes in Corporate and Foreign Investment Law, Real Estate, Immigration, and Trademark and Copyright Registration. Mr. Munro is currently the Mayor (Presidente) of Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico and has pledged his eager support to the Parayso project.

Richard Gonzales, Jr.

son of legendary tennis icon, Pancho Gonzalez, has accepted a future position as Director of Tennis Operations and will be responsible for designing a tennis complex catering to community residences as well as professional players . As a tennis professional, Richard has held top level positions at prestigious tennis facilities including Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and the Rio Bravo Resort. He is highly regarded as a teacher/trainer of all levels and for his experience in design, development and maintenance of top-notch tennis facilities.

Jesus Cortez Munro

serves as Contador-Accountant for our Mexican entities. Jesus is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Sonora and graduated from Universidad de Sonora. Prior to joining Desemboque Developments, he worked for Lopez Caballero Y Asociados, a regional accounting firm specializing in international accounting and business development. Jesus also worked for Edificadora Gibraltar SA DE CV, responsible for the construction of Penasco Del Sol, one of Penasco’s larger beachfront resorts. Jesus is responsible for accounting, tax planning, administration and business development for Desemboque Developments LLC S. DE R.L. DE CV.

Tony M. Nunes

serves as the Director of Marketing for Desemboque Developments. He has overall responsibility for the Parayso development with key focus on sales and marketing. Tony has over thirty-five years of experience in management, sales and marketing, and product development. Early in his career, he joined Genuine Parts Company (NAPA) where he was responsible for opening retail stores throughout Northern California and was awarded “National Sales Manager of the Year.” Mr. Nunes also served as National Sales and Marketing Manager for BAP/GEON, (then the largest import car parts distributor in the U.S.) and as National Port and Distribution Manager for Subaru of America before joining the start-up company SNS Motor Imports as Vice President of Sales. Tony held product development positions working with engineering and marketing departments at Ford, GM, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda and Subaru. Before joining Desemboque Developments, he built sales and distribution and managed NAPA stores in Oregon. Tony is one of only two hundred government licensed real estate agents in Sonora and the country of Mexico.

Gary R. Kerney

serves as Managing Director Planning and Development. 35 years of experience in residential, commercial, and golf course development. He was in a key management position at Landmark Land Company until 2010 as Senior Vice President Design, Planning and Development, during which time he was responsible for overseeing construction of PGA West and Mission Hills Country Club clubhouses, as well as the development of related master-planned golf communities. Gary’s past experience also includes serving as President of The New Albany Company. He received his education from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Gary began his involvement with Parayso in 2008 by assisting in planning and design while Senior Vice President of Landmark Land Company, where his most recent project development included the 870 acre Apes Hill Resort Development, Barbados, West Indies.

Rogelio Valenzuela and Mario Galaz

are partners and owners of Valenzuela | Galaz Architects, with degrees from Tecnolgico de Monterrey University and Sonora University. With over 18 years of experience in residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal design, the firm specializes in adapting architectures to their respective environment, and integrating new technologies and engineering. Valenzuela | Galaz specialize in every aspect of the architectural design process to project execution. In 2015 they have been asked by the new mayor (Presidente) of Puerto Penasco to design several potential municipal improvements for the city.

Dan F. Sater II

is the President and CEO of The Sater Companies. Possessing over 35 years of experience, he is a Certified Professional Building Designer, Certified Green Professional, Certified Professional Member and President of the American Institute of Building Design, and a Professional Member of the Institute of Classical Architecture. His ability to create home designs with open flowing interiors that interact with expansive outdoor spaces is unmatched. In fact, Sater designs have earned over 450 design regional and national awards. Dan’s tireless dedication to craft homes that reflect his unique sense of casual elegance has earned international acclaim, garnering him design commissions in forty-two states and over eighteen countries to date. Dan has been a frequent speaker at various national and international conferences including the International Builder’s Show (IBS), the Southeast Builder’s Conference (SEBC), as well as the annual convention of the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD). Dan has authored eleven books including “The Smaller Home” and the “Sater Design Portfolio”, a hardback reflection of our companies twenty fifth anniversary. Dan’s past experience as a licensed residential contractor has further grounded him in his understanding of creating elegant, yet practical and efficient luxury homes. He considers this background as fundamental to his skills and knowledge as a design professional. In 2008, Dan received the distinct privilege of being selected to design “The New American Home” for its 25th anniversary. This home was built and exhibited at the International Builder’s Show that year, making The Sater Group one of only 25 such American firms to have received this honor.
